Pastor John Bradley
Rev. John T. Bradley is a native of Richmond, Virginia and a product of the Richmond Public School system. He is happily married to Diania Bradley for the past twenty-five years. Of this union they have two daughters, Christina and Amanda.
Rev. Bradley was licensed to preach the Gospel in 1991 and was ordained to the ministry in January 1999 under the leadership of the late Rev. Alfred Terrell of Macedonia Baptist Church, Newport News, Va.
He received his BA degree in the areas of philosophy and religion at Saint Leo University, in 1996 and has gone on to complete the Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton New Jersey in May 1999.
While completing his Master of Divinity degree he served as assistant pastor at Friendship Baptist Church, in Trenton NJ., under the direction of the late Willie J. Saunders. While at Friendship Baptist Church he served as the Youth Director and Summer Camp coordinator.
Upon completion of his Master of Divinity degree he began working as the Deputy Director of the "One More Chance" and "Stay up While You're Out" programs, dealing with "At Risk" youth from the juvenile justice system in Newport News and Hampton, Virginia. On November 20, 1999 he was called to the office of Pastor to a newly formed congregation, "Good Shepherd Baptist Church, in Hampton, Va.
In February 2001 He formed a non-profit corporation called Upgrade Family Life and Education Center, Inc. An organization that is designed to minister, educate, counsel and mentor children and families throughout the community. In July 2004 he opened the doors of "Upgrade Preschool and Childcare" located at
3311 Kecoughtan Road
, Hampton, Va., which provided quality education and social development at a reduced cost for over 70 children and their families.
In November 2005, God in His divine wisdom brought two congregations together, Good Shepherd Baptist Church and Emmanuel Grace Baptist Church, and called Rev. Bradley to the office of senior pastor.
In addition to his pastoral duties at Emmanuel Grace Baptist Church, Rev. Bradley also serves as adjunct Instructor at Hampton University in the areas of religion and philosophy. In addition to teaching in the traditional classroom he has been a pioneer breaking new ground on the World Wide Web teaching and developing on-line courses for Hampton University College of Continuing Education.
